Sandy Jackman was living her best life as an openly gay woman in her home country of Guyana when she had acid thrown at her by a jealous ex-lover. Living with third-degree burns on the left side of her face, arms, and legs, Sandy had to go through extensive physical therapy to help ease her pain. But that wasn't the only physical activity that helped Sandy stretch her scars and muscles: There was also sex.
